Several times it happens that your Exchange server has stopped working since an unexpected error has occurred. But the traditional methods (such as backup file) will help you to create a full recovery of everything that you are about to lose. If your system would fail or the database becomes corrupt, you can easily restore everything on the tape. However this process will take longer if it's filled with a lot of information. For the usual 40 GB Exchange databases, you will find that the backup time will take between one and two hours. The recovery time will be around two and six hours.
